Fort Hood: Obama urges caution amid fears of backlash against Muslims

siding with the enemy once again.

How about just calling this act of terrorism against U.S. soldiers exactly what it was, without worrying about larger implications?

Following 9/11 we didn't see a backlash against Muslims here in America. In fact, we went way out of way to avoid painting all Muslims with the broad brush of radicalism demonstrated by the admittedly Muslim terrorists who acted on that day. It is insulting to even hint at the suggestion, i.e. to insult Americas by accusing us of being the type of people who drag people out into the streets and murder them en massed because of how they choose to worship. Americans deserve better than such a characterization by their leaders.

Meanwhile, we don't want to characterize the guilty terrorist according to his demonstrated actions. We want to act carefully where he is concerned.

What a crazy, upside-down world this has become.

i think if all muslims don't want to see the backlash and still enjoy living here then maybe they need to start a "fink on an extremist" program and start rooting some the bad ones out.
